So, I was prepared to tell everyone the good news – hell, I was going to shout it from the rooftop (in 0 degree weather I might add) that we have been kupa-free since 9am. HOWEVER, just as I was typing the title of this post, I heard *grrrrruuuuuunt* *unghhhhhhh* *ehhhhhhhhhh* *unhhhhhhhh* *gruuuuuuuuuunt* coming from GG in the other room. Then the odor hit me like a ton of bricks, and we were back to square one in less than 30 seconds flat. So, after changing my darling little kupa factory, I am back to tell you that we went to the pediatrician this afternoon and they are stumped. I had to bring in a sample specimen of kuperrific proportion, so that they could send it off to the lab and find out what’s wrong. Funny thing is, the smell was so bad that I kept getting these looks from other moms there, like “damn girl, change your child” or “damn sister, take a bath”. I could have died of embarrassment sitting in that waiting room all of 3 minutes. So, I pulled out the blame game lines – “My child is the youngest ever known case of Irritable Bowel Syndrome.” Well, in my head I said that, but on the outside I just sat and hid my face in shame. Anyway, now we just wait for the lab results to see if they can find what’s wrong. On a good note, he gained a pound in the last three weeks, isn’t vomiting, has no diaper rash, and is generally content. So, it could be worse, and I should just be thankful it’s only coming out of one end and not both.
