I cried this morning at 7:23am when I realized that my sweet GG went to bed last night at 7:30pm and 12 hours later he was cooing to himself happily in his crib. Twelve hours went by without hearing a sound!
This is the milestone, or at least the ray of hope, I was looking forward to recently. So, please keep your fingers (and toes) crossed that this is the beginning of a beautiful thing called “OMG they are both sleeping through the night!”
I feel as though I haven’t slept for longer than a 4 hour period of time in the last three years. My oldest, T3, started sleeping through the night at 14 months after having to endure 4 nights of mama making him realize that she is not coming in that room when he wanted to play at midnight, 2 am, and 4 am. That was pure hell and torture! I was hoping I would not have to go through the same thing with GG, but things were looking grim lately as he continued to wake several times a night. I knew I was going to have to lay down the law, but felt guilty since he is only 11 months old, and T3 had an extra 5 months of mamatime at night.
It’s amazing how my body has adapted to sleeping for 2-4 hours at a time at night, but I think GG may have mercy on my poor sleep-deprived soul. He did it all on his own, and I pray that we see more nights like this! Amen!

Congrats. I hope he does it again. And again. And then again. And then bring him over to talk to Fifi. Cause she so doesn;t get it.
