I bit the bullet

I hate when things eat away at me.

I have a long lost friend who was very dear to me, but we had our share of ups and downs, and in the end we had a falling out.  I still love her and miss her.  She was my very best friend.  Lately, the urge has been growing inside me to reach out to her and let her know that she is missed.  Especially today.

So, I bit the bullet.  I emailed her.  I hope she gets my message.  And no matter what she decides, I will be at peace knowing that I tried to let her know how much I have missed her over the years.

*crossing my fingers* I hope she writes me back.

    Hey there…I sure hope you have better luck than I did. In my case, we never had a “falling out.” And that’s what confused me even further. Funny how people can think of the same things halfway across the world around the same time. :) I posted about this just a couple of days back. I decided it was time for closure. Seriously though, I hope you guys can get together again. All the best.

    I’m glad you reached out, and I hope your friend responds. I did the same thing over 12 years ago…..I called a friend, and at that moment we were both holding our newborn babies. Those babies are now 12 year old girls and the best of friends, and my friend and I are so close and have never had another falling out since.

    What have you got to lose?

    I had a friend like this, too. I decided that the falling out was a good thing. In your case, it sounds like it might be worth a try.
