Dear Kelloggs: Pop Tart Division

What does a mom have to do to get a Strawberry and Cheese Danish Pop Tart in the morning?

Your individually foil wrapped packets do not have the flavor of Pop Tart written on them!

We are a family of Pop Tart connoisseurs and as such we always have 3 to 4 flavors stocked in our pantry. My husband, the biggest Pop Tart mooch of the bunch, opens the boxes and takes the perfectly packaged packets out of the box, not caring that he has now essentially made a Pop Tart guessing game for me at 7am.

Today, I needed that Strawberry and Cheese Danish Pop Tart to complement my Chocolate Raspberry Gevalia Kaffe. So, I went searching.

Nope, no Strawberry and Cheese Danish box. Ok, here are some packets, lets open one… nope, Gingerbread. And another, nope Gingerbread again. A third, also Gingerbread. Should I even bother for a fourth? Yes, when it means I might just get my Strawberry and Cheese Danish.

Here we go… I peel the fourth packet open… DAMN!!! GINGERBREAD AGAIN!

It looks like my husband has taken all of the Strawberry and Cheese Danish Pop Tarts to work, and now I have four open Gingerbread Pop Tart packets.

All because you will not put the flavor of Pop Tart on your packaging!

Come on Kelloggs! Don’t you understand that a mom needs to be happy for the whole family to be happy? My husband has already received his “I hate you” phone call this morning while at work, and my poor boys are in for a morning dose of “crabby mama”.

This seriously needs to be addressed before I decide to buy Pillsbury Toaster Strudel instead.

Sincerely,

MamaWise

Thanks for leaving me a comment today. I have to say that I have been a lurker here for awhile now. I think it’s time for me to come out of the closet, yes?

I never noticed they didn’t put the flavor on the foil! We are some poptart eating fools over here as well, but only the chocolate chip ones. Which I’m thinking may have been discontinued since I haven’t seen them in the store for weeks. And I’ve tried multiple stores. So I might need to contact Kellogg’s as well because I don’t do breakfast!

Hahahaha!!! I love this story. It’s just like at my house. We always have a bunch of different flavors at our house and somehow all of them all get mixed up in the wrong boxes….therefore resulting in a bunch of already opened packages that sit there and never get eaten! :) I am so glad I found your blog its great!! I would love to blog with you . My blog is new and is called “I Overcooked My Family”. Good luck with the pop tarts hehehe

This is one of my pet peeves too. With two kids who don’t understand the concept of putting things away, we often have mixed boxes. I have a black Sharpie pen just to mark the foil packets of orphan Tarts. The S’more Tarts are really good too… love the Strawberry Danish.
