I have been kind of worrying about the fact that I am over 30 and that my diet and nutrition is far from stellar. Just thinking about the fact that everything apparently starts to go downhill after 30 makes me want to work on avoiding the inevitable.
Working out is a chore if you feel like crap all the time. Fatigue, muscle and joint aches, etc. have been plaguing me much more so this year than ever, and have dampened my attempts at starting to work out again. I have totally been inspired by OHmommy and Kimmy by their dedication to working out and getting healthy, lurking on their blogs but afraid to comment feeling like a loser who cannot show the same dedication. My husband has even set up a full gym at home and has been working out religiously over the past three weeks, yet have myself miserably failed to sustain any of my own workout endeavors due to feeling plain ol’ tired and crappy.
So, I decided enough is enough. I began eating healthier - fruits, vegetables, and even *gasp* red meat. Apparently my anemia was getting worse because my hands started to tingle as my Vitamin B12 deficiency got worse, hence the increase in red meats. I also started thinking about possibly adding some daily vitamins and supplements to make me feel healthier, but was a little worried that it would be expensive and not practical since I absolutely CANNOT swallow pills, even the teeny-tiny ones. So, unless I could find liquid or chewable stuff, I pretty much figured I was doomed.
The other day, my mother thought I should check out a website which sells all types of vitamins and supplements, and encouraged me to take a look at what they have. Well, I was beyond ecstatic when I started searching and found that every supplement I felt that I needed to take was available in liquid or chewable forms. You couldn’t wipe the shit-eating grin off my face as I put everything into my cart and placed my order. I ended up getting a liquid B12 supplement, adult chewable multivitamins, and a liquid glucosamine/chondrointin supplement, all of which I have been taking since the day they arrived. And you know what? I feel AMAZING! My joints stopped hurting and I finally have some much needed energy.
Best part is that I was able to stock up - they were having a Buy One, Get TWO Free sale plus free shipping (yippy!). I think I ended up saving over a hundred dollars on my order because of this. After finding out that they extended the sale, I just placed another order two days ago. (Dude, I sound like an infomercial now! LOL)
So, here’s what I will be taking on my quest to make myself healthy again:
- Chewable Adult MultiVitamin
- Liquid Glucosamin/Chondrointin - for my bad joints
- Liquid Vitamin B12 supplement - for my B12 deficiency and fatigue
- Chewable Co-Enzyme Q10 - for a healthy heart and fatigue
- Liquid Omega 3’s - for overall cardiovascular health
- Liquid Calcium/Magnesium - for healthy bones
- Liquid Valerian Root - to help my insomniac-ass sleep at night
Quite a lineup, but well worth it to feel so much better than I have in a long time. Oh yeah, I even got chewables for my kids at 1/3 the cost that I pay for them at the grocery store.
So, I am sharing the love and pimping the website which has made me feel so much better lately. If you take vitamins or supplements on a regular basis, then check this place out. And if you don’t take anything, you should start, it really makes a world of difference.
And soon, I will be starting a workout regimen which I will hopefully happily blog about!

Have you tried evening primrose oil? It’s a power house, as are fish oils. I’m happy that you found such an excellent deal in such a manageable package!

I am soooooooooooo happy you took your mother’s advice.Whole “dr’s gang”in my office use this source for vitamins and supplements.Very good choices.I would like to write so much more about benefits of many, but this may not be the right forum.I will say however: unless you eat tons of salmon or flounder, every adult will benefit from Fish oil/Omega 3 supplement. We have now quite a few, well designed studies ,confirming its protective effect on cardiovascular system. It is good for your skin also, who would not want this effect.
Good health wishes to all Mommies and their precious Little Ones.

I have to ask if the chewable multivitamin is chalky at all. I get adult gummies from my pharm. but at these prices if they are good I would stock up. I can’t swallow the pills either. thanks for the heads up.
