Why all the excitement? Well, maybe because MY present, that I asked Santa to bring lovingly bought for myself is sitting right next to his present hidden in the crawlspace.
Tada! Yes you see it alright! That would be a Wii Fit, and a complementary Wii console for the husband (purely for the necessity of being able to use the Wii Fit).
Yesterday I told DadaWise that I already had his Christmas present, to which he responded “oh? …that’s nice”. Dammit, I was hoping he’d say with excitement “what is it?!?!” or”can I have it now?” To which I would have SQUEEEE’d with glee and quickly brought the unwrapped gift and dropped it into his eager hands. I was so hoping this would have been his response, purely for selfish reasons of course. And as he’d be connecting it up to the TV, I would be going back under the crawlspace and bringing out MY present with a look of love in my eyes.
Oh, this is going to be a long month and a half. Maybe he’ll breakdown and practically BEG me to give him his present early, and I’ll just have to oblige since I wouldn’t want to disappoint him, of course. A girl can hope.
I wonder how quickly he’ll figure out the real incentive for getting him a Wii for Christmas. I hope he realizes the he’s not really going to be allowed to play on it, because it’s going to be all mine!

The Wii is awesome. So awesome my office is having a wii bowling tournament because we have one in our break room.
