I’ll be warm again in 6 months

My how the weather has changed. It’s currently 33 degrees, our third day in a row with snow, and the Weather Channel predicting we will continue to have snow for the next 7 days. Today enough of it is actually coming down to have it stick and coat the trees and grass.

Winter has never been my favorite season, making me want to close up shop and just hibernate for the next 6 months. I’m what’s known as a “freeze baby” – my thermostat will never be below 74 degrees, which means most people have to wear tank tops in my house while I lounge around with about three layers of clothes on. I sleep fully dressed under the heaviest comforter (my husband calls it the “lead comforter”) and you can still feel that my feet are freezing cold through the two pairs of thermal socks I have on.

Now don’t get me wrong, just because I don’t like winter doesn’t mean that I don’t find beauty in the season. For example, I love snow – I think it’s beautiful, mostly from the comfort of my toasty warm home. That is unless I actually venture out looking like an eskimo with my camera to take some cool snow shots.

Finally sticking

So on the topic of warmer times… while working on photos for albums I hope to finally put together this month, I came across a couple of pictures which bring back memories of outdoor summer fun.

Late Summer Smile

Yes, I am incredibly behind on organizing my pictures and making albums. I think I have one completed photo album of my youngest which shows us bringing him home from the hospital. LOL!

Only 6 more months before we can enjoy the warm weather again. *sigh* Let’s hope I can stay warm enough to finally have my albums up-to-date by then.

Your snow pictures are gorgeous! Loved the bubbles too. Even though it is still warm around here, I feel your pain with winter. I am never warm either.

I know! This cold weather is def here! I can say I will not miss the dreary greyness of Columbus. It was snowing, albeit lightly, here but the sun was so bright it was amazing.

I have recently learned that losing 100+ lbs really screws with your body’s thermostat! I’m always cold and being cold bothers me more than ever before. I used to love winter, but now, not so much! AND…I’m in Florida!!!
